Android obesity is a type of obesity which is characterized by the storage of fat at abdominal region. Apple like body shape in this type of obesity. These people are more prone for obesity related diseases such as heart diseases, metabolic syndrome, gout, arterial related disorders, cancers and others. Android obesity can also be seen in other areas such as upper chest, shoulders, neck’s nape area others.
Gynoid obesity is characterized by presence of fat at hip and thigh regions. Buttocks of people suffering from this type of obesity will be larger than that of others. Body shape of these people would be pear shaped and hence they are called pear obese or gynoid obese. Less chances of becoming prone to several obesity related diseases.
Both Android and Gynoid obesity are forms of obesity. Excess of fats are stored in specific parts in both these kinds of obesity.
